The Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center Research Programs

The Arabian Gulf is an exceptional marine environment characterised by extreme physical conditions. The marine research programs at the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center aim to investigate the distinctive characteristics of the Gulf’s marine ecosystems, from microbes to megafauna, and develop innovative methodologies to support their restoration.

The center’s research program also works hand-in-hand with our rescue program, and the UAE government to assess the emerging threats and overall health status of the Gulf’s marine megafauna populations.

Our Research Team has access to specialized field and laboratory equipment, state-of-the-art aquaculture facilities, and a dedicated research vessel.
