Internship Program

Location: The Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center

At the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center, interns gain the unique opportunity to learn from a dedicated, mission-driven team while contributing to the advancement of knowledge and protection of the Gulf’s distinctive marine ecosystems. The Center’s research programs work together to study marine life from microbes to megafauna, advance restoration methods, and track emerging threats using specialized labs and advanced facilities.

Summer Internship applications are now open. The deadline for application submission is 20 May 2026.

High School Students (Work Experience / Early Exposure)


Duration

1–2 weeks

Eligibility

Senior high school students (Grades 10–12) interested in completing short work-experience programs.

Key Learning Components

• Introductory exposure to aquaculture, marine ecology, and rescue operations.
• Basic laboratory tasks, observational work, team shadowing, and data entry.
• Foundational understanding of marine conservation principles.

Duration

4–8 weeks

Eligibility

Undergraduate students studying in the UAE seeking practical experience or internship credits.

Key Learning Components

• Project-based learning in aquaculture, ecology, or rescue.
• Fieldwork, lab work, data analysis.
• Weekly mentor check-ins and performance feedback.
• End-of-program presentation or report.
